Looking for optimal preparation of your nails for applying nail stickers? You're in the right place!
Good preparation is half the job
Proper preparation of your nails is essential for achieving a beautiful and long-lasting result with your nail stickers. In this blog we share some important tips and tricks to optimally prepare your nails.
What is the secret of long lasting nail wraps?
Step 1: Remove leftover nail polish or gel polish
Do you want to remove nail polish?
Use a cotton pad and nail polish remover. Wet the cotton pad with nail polish remover and rub it over the nail. Repeat this until all the nail polish has dissolved and your nails are clean.
Do you want to remove gel polish?
First file off the top layer of the gel. Then wet the cotton pad with nail polish remover and place it over the nail. Fix this with aluminum foil and let it sit for 8-10 minutes.

How to remove nail stickers?
1️⃣ Loosen the wrap a little with the stick.
2️⃣ Drop some oil under the sticker. Let it work for 10 minutes, so the glue dissolves.
3️⃣ Then remove the wraps piece by piece and drip some extra oil under the wrap if necessary.
Proceed carefully to avoid damage. Tada, you've nailed it!
NB! Do not use cuticle oil to care for your cuticles when you wear nail wraps. Then the glue dissolves and they release.
Step 2: Wash your hands with degreasing soap
Wash your hands well with degreasing soap or dishwashing liquid (this will also dissolve any grease residues). Massage the degreasing soap well onto your hands, focusing especially on your nails and cuticles, as these are the areas where the nail stickers will be applied.
Make sure to massage the soap for 20 seconds to effectively remove all bacteria and dirt.
Rinse your hands thoroughly Rinse your hands thoroughly under warm running water. Make sure you completely remove all soap residue. It is essential to rinse your hands thoroughly to avoid leaving any soap residue that could hinder the adhesion of the gel nail stickers.
Gently pat your hands dry with a clean towel.
Step 3: Buff your nails
To ensure that the stickers adhere well and provide long-lasting results, it is essential to buffer your nails before applying them.
Take the nail buffer file and hold it firmly between your thumb and index finger. Start by lightly filing the surface of each nail. Move the buffer in one direction, from the cuticle to the nail tips. Repeat this process for each nail, applying even pressure. Buffering helps to remove the natural shine from the nails and provides a smooth surface on which the gel nail stickers can adhere better.
Step 4 Take care of your cuticles
By washing your hands in step 2, your cuticles have already become soft. If this has not happened sufficiently, use a cuticle softener to soften the cuticles. This helps to push back the nail brakes easily.
Use a cuticle pusher (aka the supplied stick) to push back your cuticles. Do this with light pressure and work carefully along each nail. Pushing back the cuticles ensures a clean and smooth nail bed and sufficient space for the stickers, allowing the nail stickers to adhere and fit better.
Step 5 Shoe your nails with alcohol (pads)
Sufficient alcohol pads are always included when ordering Gel Nail Wrap.
Carefully open an alcohol pad and remove the cloth. Clean your nails and cuticles. Take the alcohol pad and wipe it over each nail, including the nail bed and cuticles. Do this with light pressure and gentle movements. Alcohol pads help remove oil, dust and bacteria, creating a clean and grease-free surface on which the gel nail stickers can optimally adhere.
After cleaning with alcohol pads, it is important to let your nails dry completely before continuing. This prevents moisture from remaining under the stickers.
